Diversifying the Educational System in Aruba

The possible introduction of the International Baccalaureate

The University of Aruba in collaboration with the Ministry of Education cordially invites you to a presentation on Diversifying the Educational System in Aruba. The International Baccalaureate Organization (known as the IB) offers four high-quality and challenging educational programs: the Primary Years Program, the Middle Years Program, the Career-related Program and the Diploma Program. The IB aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

Teaching and learning in the IB celebrates the many ways people work together to construct meaning and make sense of the world. Through the interplay of asking, doing and thinking, this constructivist approach leads towards open, democratic classrooms. An IB education empowers young people for a lifetime of learning, independently and in collaboration with others. It prepares a community of learners to engage with global challenges through inquiry, action and reflection. During the presentation the IB will provide information on the different programs that the organization has to offer.
