In 2019, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) is celebrating its 100th anniversary. To commemorate this centenary milestone, the IAU has organised a year-long celebration (IAU100) to increase awareness of a century of astronomical discoveries and to support the use of astronomy as a tool for education, development and diplomacy under the central theme “Under One Sky”.

Masterclass
During this third and last masterclass concerning Circular Economy, Ewald Biemans, founder of Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, the most sustainable resort on our island and in the Caribbean, will take us on a journey about the impact Bucuti creates in our society concerning sustainability and circular economy. He will share with us amongst others how Bucuti became carbon neutral and his vision towards the future about Circular Economy in Aruba.

5 week teaching programs (5×8 hours) and 1 week final assessment. Week 1 will provide a general introduction to the discipline, the following four weeks cover four specific fields of study within the discipline. Assessment is based on written examination and permanent assessment (portfolio, weekly tests or other). However, the written examination will cover no less than 50% of the assessment.
