Refugee flows around the world have been on the rise in recent years. Yet, the welcome received by refugees has varied worldwide amid an increasing perception of refugees, asylum-seekers, and migrants as a burden. Gaining a better understanding of the research is essential in order to devise policies that address local concerns and avoid misrepresentation or opportunism. How should society respond to an influx of refugees, in light of their precarity and rights as persons seeking protection? What does the research demonstrate regarding the challenges and opportunities in social, economic, and cultural integration of refugees, asylum-seekers, and migrants, providing examples from around the region and globally?

In this second of a series of three masterclasses the topic of this transition towards a Circular Economy will be explored, from both a local and regional perspective. In this process startup enterprises as well as more established companies increasingly feel the need to make their products and business processes fit within a circular economy. But what is a circular economy, and how should we understand this process of transition from a linear to a circular economy? And what are the opportunities and obstacles we are faced with in this transition process?

We will immerse into an environment encouraging exploration and inspiration towards leading a more fulfilling life based on the practices of study and meditation.

Our learning process started from a young age, and maybe even from conception or before that. Over the years, we have come to experience and know many aspects of life. We are always presented with situations where we could learn, and with moments where we could share what we have understood. In and out of all experiences we are asked to interpret, choose and interact. Some of these interpretations, choices and interactions can manifest as wisdom. What opportunities are presented to us to transform experience to learning and learning to wisdom? This opportunity is always available, but how are we to recognize and seize this opportunity?
