Lecture

The lecture will be developed in 3 topics:

1. Introduction: Current state of social development, based on the basic topic of social entrepreneurship and innovation and real cases in development.

2. The We Project story: showcasing 3 years work from zero to impact, Do’s and Don’ts’s and personal stories working in indigenous communities, gangs and urban vulnerable communities.

3. Global impact: Explorations about international cooperation based in our cooperation between Brazil, Australia and Colombia, including the Success case of Enamora and Anika Stevens and possible collaborations between LATAM and Aruba.

Speaker:
Juan Montoya Echeverri
, Architect by profession with a master in sustainable design, social entrepreneur by vocation, consultant in innovation and creativity for NGOs and Organizations.
 
He has worked for the past 3 years with his NGO the We project on development in rural areas in Colombia affected by armed conflict, focused in La guajira, Colombia where he has developed programs in entrepreneurship and social innovation and building water and social infrastructure building and development.
 
He is a YLAI program fellow, Premios Latin-American Verde Winner and guest mentor for Reconciliación Colombia, Fundación Bancolombia, US-AID Colombia, Martin Luther King jr Fellowship program.
