The University of Aruba values an international atmosphere and international partnerships. Coordination, management and support of (European) mobility programs and the realization of the Universities over-all internationalization strategy is concentrated at the institutional level in the Office of International Affairs (OIA). The OIA operates under the direction of the Rector and is responsible for policy formulation, (financial) administration, external communication as well as preparing outbound and receiving incoming participants and collecting feedback from participants.
To firmly ground internationalization within the University, each Faculty appoints a Coordinator for International Programs, who acts as intermediary between the Faculty and the OIA. S/he coordinates the programs and projects that are specific to a Faculty, selects participants, and is the first contact in academic matters.
