The University of Aruba presents itself as a small and unique University, with interactive classes and individual attention. A positive c collegial relations between the staff members. Located in a historic monument ,the Las Salle building, in the center of Oranjestad, capital of Aruba. The UA offers an environment that encourages intellectual exchange among students and professors in a friendly and informal atmosphere.

Our university is a rather young University; never the less we have taken our commitment to raise the educational levels of our island seriously. And therefore we have universally accepted the task that lies before us.

I am particularly enthusiastic about our dedicated staff outstanding faculty members, for their continuous support and building of the University of Aruba.

As a small island we are challenged by the global, regional and national economic environment and  I am confident that with the support of everyone involved with the University we will be able to see these challenges through, tenacious as the task may seem.

From a limited number of students during the first year of the UA, enrollment has grown to more than 400 students attending our University. The faculty, which consisted of professors and lectures from our neighboring island Curacao and the Netherlands, now has grown substantially. The UA not only work with professors & lectures from the Netherlands but also from University of Central Florida, University of Arizona, Hogeschool Diemen (the Netherlands), HAN and the University of Puerto Rico.
