Faculty of Financial and Economic Studies
The Faculty of Accounting and Finance (hereafter F.E.F, the Dutch abbreviation) offers higher education with specializations in Accounting and Finance (HEAO-Bedrijfs Economie or BE) and Marketing (HEAO-Commerciele Economie or CE). The mission of the F.E.F. is to educate students in such a way that after graduation the students will have achieved their goal of developing professional skills and attitudes that will help them in the work force.
The program offers an educational career leading to a bachelor's degree.
Upon successful completion of the program, the students will be awarded with the title of "Bachelor of Science" in Economics.
The BE students are taught skills of financial economics, information management, supervising, advising and management tasks. The sphere of work of a BE graduated student is very large. No matter what kind of organization, whether it concerns a private organization or the government. Everywhere there is necessity to control organizations in finance.
The activities of a graduated CE student focus on the management of the relationship between the organization and its environment. This relates to sales and marketing. The education is focused on commercial aspects of the business. Graduates will find employment in profit and non-profit organizations.
