International economic developments and their impact on the Caribbean

Description

Prof. Dr. Paul Hilbers is a former Executive Director at the IMF in Washington and a member of the Boards of Financial Supervision for Aruba and Curaçao. He will discuss developments in the international monetary system from the 1944 Bretton Woods Agreement up to today’s trade wars. How do current international developments compare with what we have seen in the past? What are the major issues in the years ahead, and, above all, what does this mean for the Caribbean region?
