About our faculty

The ‘Financieel Economische Faculteit, (FEF)’ at the University of Aruba is an institute for higher education that offers two recognized bachelor’s programs with majors in Finance & Control & Marketing Management. Our curriculum is updated with the latest trends and developments in both the Aruban business community as well as the international academic community. With a balanced mix of industry professionals and academic staff, we encourage our students to broaden their horizons, locally and internationally, and to explore and cultivate their passions and talents. Since 1997, more than 500 students have graduated from our faculty and have gained professional business skills and attitudes that easily meet the needs of the job market. Our graduates have key positions in different segments of the market: accounting firms, banks, government and public sector institutions and the private sector of Aruba. After finishing the FEF, our students enter the workforce or continue studying for a masters degree in the Netherlands or in Aruba.

Academic programs

The FEF offers a dynamic four-year full-time bachelor program in Finance & Control and Marketing Management. After a joint first year ‘propedeuse’, our students have the choice to pursue one of two majors. The first half of the second year is also a joint year. The FEF focuses both on theoretical courses and practical assignments to ensure a solid knowledge base and professional foundation. Our courses are taught in either Dutch or English and emphasize both an international perspective and the needs of the Aruban business community.

International opportunities

FEF is a proud partner of the Erasmus+ Programme, offering students a wide range of international opportunities through its network of partner institutions.

Students have the opportunity to study abroad and complete a minor during their fourth year. In addition, there are possibilities to undertake an internship or graduation assignment abroad, supported by an Erasmus+ grant.

Quality Assurance

NVAO Accreditation

The FEF Faculty received a positive evaluation from the Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie (NVAO) on January 28, 2026 for both study programs Finance and Control & Marketing Management. This outcome confirms that both programs meet internationally recognized quality standards, in line with those applied in higher education in the Netherlands and Flanders. The evaluation is valid until January 2032.
