Masterclass Series: AI for Small Island Economies: Tourism, Intellectual Property & Digital Value Creation
Description:
Masterclass 1 – 14 April
AI+ Tourism: Service Excellence at Scale
Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping how tourism businesses operate and communicate with guests. In a tourism-driven economy like Aruba, the challenge is not simply adopting AI, but using it in ways that strengthen service quality, cultural authenticity, and operational efficiency.
This masterclass explores practical AI applications for hospitality, tourism services, and customer communication. Participants will gain insight into how AI can support multilingual guest interaction, streamline service workflows, and enhance reputation management while preserving the human touch that defines Aruba’s hospitality experience.
Masterclass 2 – 21 April
AI, Intellectual Property & Monetization in the AI Era
As AI-generated content becomes increasingly common, questions around ownership, copyright, and ethical use are becoming critical for businesses and creatives alike. Who owns AI-assisted work? What can legally be sold or licensed? And how can organizations avoid reputational or legal risks?
This masterclass provides a clear and practical overview of intellectual property considerations in the age of AI, helping participants understand how to responsibly monetize AI-assisted work while protecting originality, credibility, and brand integrity.
Masterclass 3 – 28 April
AI + The Orange Economy: Creating Marketable Digital Assets
AI is opening new opportunities for creatives, entrepreneurs, and small businesses to transform ideas, culture, and expertise into digital products that can reach global markets. For small island economies, this represents a powerful pathway toward economic diversification.
This session explores how AI can support the development of marketable digital assets, from visual content and design resources to knowledge products and digital services, while maintaining cultural authenticity and sustainable value creation.
