The Aruba Investment Study Club University of Aruba hosted 3 presentations on the topic of cryptocurrencies

The purpose of the AISCUA is to learn about investing by doing it. AISCUA has a portfolio of shares on the NYSE, a wallet of crypto currencies and also investments in the local economy are discussed in the meetings.
The next meeting of the AISCUA is planned on February 1st, 2022. On the agenda are investment possibilities with crypto currencies. Meetings take place in room 2 at the University of Aruba. These meetings are open to the public. If interested in becoming a member of the AISCUA, pls send an email to paul.vandormael@ua.aw

Ook dit jaar doneerde Ernst & Young het EY Handboek jaarrekening 2021 aan de studenten van de AA opleiding van de Financieel Economische Faculteit van de Universiteit van Aruba. The impact of the pandemic on education and the recent challenges has brought to attention the need to reflect on the successes and failures
experienced by various educational stakeholders to better serve students when faced with ongoing or future challenges.
Based on the many conversations and visits we had with Colegio Arubano, @colegionigelmathew , De Schakel Aruba and Colegio EPI, we decided to organize the “meet and greet” event
with the School rectors, directors and deans of education.

COVID-CAS Research project

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the global economies, health care systems and social structures. The Dutch Caribbean Islands have not been spared as the tourism, a key pillar for the economies of Aruba, Curacao and Sint-Martin rates, have dropped and have still to recover to the pre-COVID levels. The consequences amounting to economic crises on all islands along with strained health-care systems, social structures, and living standards. Vulnerable low-income families, the elderly, women and (undocumented) migrants have particularly been hit hard by the pandemic.

Meet a research team that definitely is!

The COVID-CAS research is conducted together with the Universities of Curaçao, Aruba, Sint Maarten and Utrecht, and the Curaçao Biomedical & Health Research Foundation (CBHRI). Using a human rights-based approach this multidisciplinary study will focus on the social impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the State responses towards protecting vulnerable families (elders, women and migrants) in the Dutch Caribbean. By evaluating the performance of COVID-19 measures the research can make recommendations for future outbreaks and epidemics.
