The purpose of the AISCUA is to learn about investing by doing it. AISCUA has a portfolio of shares on the NYSE, a wallet of crypto currencies and also investments in the local economy are discussed in the meetings.

COVID-CAS Research project

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the global economies, health care systems and social structures. The Dutch Caribbean Islands have not been spared as the tourism, a key pillar for the economies of Aruba, Curacao and Sint-Martin rates, have dropped and have still to recover to the pre-COVID levels. The consequences amounting to economic crises on all islands along with strained health-care systems, social structures, and living standards. Vulnerable low-income families, the elderly, women and (undocumented) migrants have particularly been hit hard by the pandemic.

Meet a research team that definitely is!
The COVID-CAS research is conducted together with the Universities of Curaçao, Aruba, Sint Maarten and Utrecht, and the Curaçao Biomedical & Health Research Foundation (CBHRI). Using a human rights-based approach this multidisciplinary study will focus on the social impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the State responses towards protecting vulnerable families (elders, women and migrants) in the Dutch Caribbean. By evaluating the performance of COVID-19 measures the research can make recommendations for future outbreaks and epidemics.
